The Pon Family in Cambodia
Thank you, friends and families, for following our journey.
In 2019 we moved to Cambodia to build high-quality Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) schools for low-income families.
We sold our home and most of our possessions, Nikum left his job so we as a family can pursue God's calling to fulfill His dream.
We departed on a one-way plane ride to Phnom Penh in August. We have partnered with a local Khmer church in Phnom Penh to build high-quality schools, starting with our first school which we opened in the Fall of 2021, an Early Learning Center for children ages 3-5 in an impoverished neighborhood where children are often left unattended.
Our ultimate goals are to display God's glory and love to our neighbors and to innovate ourselves out of poverty.
By God's grace, we are now fully funded as a family- all donations made at this point will go directly to the school. Your support is crucial as we are a not-for-profit school, unlike most in Cambodia. 50% of our students are on scholarships and no one will pay more than $30 per month for full-time care which includes breakfast, snacks and lunch. Your support also includes teachers' salaries, rent, utilities, and supplies.
